Base Set (BS)

The Base Set is the first official Pokémon TCG set and includes 102 cards with many iconic Gen 1 Pokémon such as Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, and Mewtwo. It was released in German in 1999, forms the foundation for the entire trading card game, and remains one of the most sought-after vintage sets for collectors to this day.
